This video shows a simple monorail layout–basically starts high and goes downhill. But it goes all the way out the door–it’s kind of long. We liked the music.
Cool Horizontal Conveyor
We like this build a lot. It’s a “horizontal conveyor”, like an elevator but instead of going up and down, it goes from side to side. We think it’s made out of a tower crane, but mounted horizontally instead of vertically. Very cool idea. But what’s with the sound track? How about some music next time instead of listening to the wife in the background
And there’s a brief visit from the cat.
The “Ramp Alternative”?
This guy’s constructed what he calls a “ramp alternative”. It’s an interesting idea. Then he tries to drive several vehicles up and down the ramps. It sort of works, but the ramps are really too step, as you can see when the vehicles skid headfirst down the ramps. The Skiptrack can’t seem to make it up the ramp, but the creator has promised a “part two” to show what happens.
Rokenbok At Toy Fair 2008
This Rokenbok representative is being interviewed at the Toy Fair 2008. What we think is cool, though, is the really big build that he shows off, with two monorails running at the same time, a tower crane, and a loader. The vehicles seem to be running by themselves for this demo display.
David And Ben’s Build In Ben’s Basement
David and Ben show off their massive build in Ben’s basement. I like the music on this video. This build has elements from a lot of sets - chutes, elevator, Roklift, monorail, conveyors, and more. Vehicles in the video include a dozer, skiptrack, and forklift.
Tournament Build
These guys have a pretty good set up for tournament play. That’s where you try to knock the other vehicle off the platform. Good music, fun video. But we have one word of advice: tripod!
Adrienne’s Rokenbok Movie
Click here if you can’t view the video.
Adrienne has built a cool set of Rokenbok. She shows some great driving skills in the first half of the video, then her Dad takes over driving while she runs the camera. Adrienne’s camera skills are a bit shaky, but we hear she is just under six years old, so her driving and videography is actually pretty impressive.
The video demonstrates a number of Rokenbok sets including a great looping Monorail track (and tunnel!), forklift, skiptrack, loader, dozer, sweeper vehicles, power Roklift, elevator, and ball sorter.
Rokenbok Build Timelapse Video
Here’s an interesting “timelapse” video showing someone’s Rokenbok build over the course of several months. We think this is a great way to show the development of a build. It looks like the tricky part is keeping the camera location and the lighting consistent from frame to frame. Let’s hope to see some more of these.
Cool Build By Balderdash and Blokus
Balderdash and Blokus put together a nice build that includes a three floor elevator. I hope they post some more pictures soon.
